Srishti Tuli, a 25-year-old Air India pilot, was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on Monday, sparking accusations from her family that her boyfriend, Aditya Pandit, was responsible for her death. The Powai police have arrested Pandit, aged 27, under charges of abetment to suicide.

According to her family, Pandit subjected Tuli to severe emotional abuse, including public humiliations and controlling her personal choices. He allegedly stopped her from eating non-vegetarian food, damaged her car, and made threats. The couple had been in a tumultuous relationship since meeting two years ago during pilot training.

Tuli, originally from Gorakhpur, had been living and working in Mumbai since June 2023. Authorities report that on the night before her death, she and Pandit argued before he left for Delhi. It is alleged that Tuli then expressed intentions to end her life in a phone call to Pandit, prompting him to return. However, by the time he arrived, she was already unresponsive, and despite rushing her to the hospital, Tuli was declared dead.

Her family, still in shock, suspects foul play, claiming that Pandit might have sedated her before the alleged suicide. They also point to suspicious withdrawals from her bank account, hinting at possible financial manipulation.
