Blinkit has rolled out a groundbreaking service that’s catching the attention of social media users – an ambulance that arrives within 10 minutes. Initially available in select areas of Gurgaon, the service has quickly gone viral, with Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announcing that five ambulances are now operational and plans for future expansions are in place.
The announcement has garnered a range of reactions online, from praise to humor. Social media users have expressed admiration for the initiative, with many calling it a “life-saving” service. “This is amazing; it is a much-needed service. In an official statement, Dhindsa emphasized that the service is not intended to be a profit-driven venture. “We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term,” he said. He also mentioned that the company is taking a careful approach in scaling up the service, with plans to expand to major cities within the next two years.
Dhindsa’s announcement was made through a social media post, where he outlined the launch of the first five ambulances in Gurugram. He shared that customers will eventually be able to book Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances directly through the Blinkit app as the service extends to more areas.
