New Delhi, July 15, 2025: The Department of Posts convened its Annual Business Meet 2025–26 in New Delhi today, under the leadership of Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. The high-level gathering brought together Heads of Circles from across India to evaluate performance, share best practices, and define the growth trajectory of India Post in the evolving landscape of logistics, banking, and public service delivery.
Inauguration and Strategic Focus
Ms. Vandita Kaul, Secretary (Posts), inaugurated the session by emphasizing the Department’s major achievements and its commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and citizen-centricity. She urged all regional heads to focus on business transformation, internal capacity building, and the seamless integration of technology to meet future demands.
Launch of ‘Dak Samvaad’ – A Platform for Change
A key moment of the meet was the official launch of ‘Dak Samvaad’, a new monthly e-newsletter aimed at internal communication and knowledge sharing across the vast India Post ecosystem. Jointly unveiled by Shri Scindia and Ms. Kaul, the newsletter will spotlight innovative ideas, grassroots success stories, and insights from the field, with the goal of building a unified and informed workforce.
Minister Scindia Charts Vision for Inclusive Growth
In his keynote address, Shri Scindia applauded India Post’s role as a crucial national institution connecting the remotest parts of the country. “India Post is not just a service—it is a lifeline. Its strength lies in the trust it commands and its reach into every household, especially in rural India,” he remarked.
The Minister emphasized that India Post is well-positioned to become a modern, performance-driven enterprise. He called for a cultural shift toward professionalism, innovation, and accountability, reinforcing the need to balance commercial competitiveness with public service delivery.
Ambitious Growth Targets for 2025–26
Shri Scindia set ambitious Circle-wise business growth targets ranging between 20% and 30%, depending on the regional potential and market dynamics. He encouraged Circle Heads to align their goals with national priorities such as financial inclusion, digital transformation, and last-mile logistics.
Circle Presentations and Stakeholder Dialogue
The event featured detailed presentations by Circle Heads, highlighting regional performance, operational challenges, and upcoming initiatives. These discussions reflected the diverse but unified approach India Post is taking to adapt to new opportunities in banking, e-commerce, logistics, and citizen services.
The Minister’s interaction with stakeholders underlined the importance of continuous feedback and regional empowerment in shaping India Post’s strategic direction.
