This incident has raised public concerns about the safety of hiring services via online platforms. Despite the convenience these apps offer, users are urged to remain vigilant, especially during festive seasons when such scams may become more prevalent. The lack of strict regulatory oversight in the online service industry has come under scrutiny, as several platforms advertise themselves as professional but fail to guarantee thorough background checks.

Police stressed that service providers are legally obligated to conduct background verification of all workers. Meanwhile, NoBroker has blocked the accounts of the suspected employees in response to the incident.
