Trinamool Congress (TMC) councillor Dulal Sarkar, affectionately known as Babla, was tragically shot dead in Malda district, West Bengal, on Thursday morning. Unidentified assailants on motorcycles approached him at Jhaljhalia More area and fired multiple shots at close range, striking him in the head. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Sarkar succumbed to his injuries.
