16Years Abuse Case in Kasaragod Uncovers Shocking Exploitation Network

A horrifying 16Years case from Kerala’s Kasaragod district has exposed a disturbing story of exploitation, power, and betrayal. A 16-year-old boy was allegedly abused over a span of two years by 14 men, including a senior Education Department officer, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) official, and a local political leader. The accused, aged between 25 and 51, allegedly contacted the boy through a gay dating application, gained his trust, and later exploited him at various places in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Kozhikode districts.16Years

The case came to light when the boy’s mother noticed an unknown man inside their home. The man fled upon seeing her, which raised her suspicion. Based on the boy’s statement, 14 separate cases were registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

16Years Ordeal Reveals How a Minor Was Targeted Through Online Platforms

Police investigations have so far led to the arrest of nine of the accused, while five others are believed to be outside Kasaragod. Their details have been shared with other police stations to trace and arrest them. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police is leading the inquiry. Eight of the cases are being handled in Kasaragod, while six others have been transferred to Kannur and Kozhikode, where the alleged assaults also took place.Boy sexually assaulted by 14 men in Kerala for 2 years, eight arrested - The Hindu

According to the investigation, the accused offered money to the boy after each assault. This was an attempt to exploit his financial situation and ensure his silence. Officials revealed that the men used promises, manipulation, and threats to continue abusing him over an extended period. The findings have shocked the state and raised serious questions about the safety of minors and the risks they face online.

The 16Years case also highlights how technology is increasingly being misused by predators to target vulnerable individuals. Investigators say that the accused first built an emotional connection with the boy online before meeting him in person. Once trust was established, the exploitation began and continued for two years across multiple locations.

The 16Years investigation is expected to expand further as more details emerge about the network of individuals involved. The case has become one of the most significant child protection cases in Kerala in recent years, not only because of the number of accused but also due to their positions in society. Many of them held respectable jobs and were seen as trusted figures, which makes the incident even more disturbing.
