Actor Manoj Bajpayee has dismissed rumors suggesting he and Kay Kay Menon will be reuniting for Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming Netflix espionage thriller. On January 9, Bajpayee took to his X account to clarify the situation, responding to a publication that reported the two actors would be starring together in the project.
Bajpayee, who is known for his quick wit, questioned the origin of the news, writing, “Hahaha kaha se ye khabar shuru hote hai bhai?” (Where did this news come from?). He later responded directly to the journalist who tweeted about the rumor, asking, “Kab hua ye?” (When did this happen?).
While the two actors have previously worked together in Sanjeev Sharma’s 2016 comedy Saat Uchakkey, which was produced under Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Filmworks banner, they have not teamed up for any other projects. However, both Manoj Bajpayee and Kay Kay Menon have had multiple collaborations with Neeraj Pandey in different capacities. Bajpayee has starred in Neeraj’s Special 26 (2013) and Aiyaary (2018), while Menon appeared in Special Ops, a spy thriller series produced by Pandey.
Fans had eagerly anticipated the duo’s reunion, but Bajpayee’s clarification has put those hopes to rest—at least for now.
On the work front, Bajpayee has recently wrapped up the shoot for The Family Man 3, where he reprises his role as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class man leading a double life as an intelligence officer. Meanwhile, Menon’s most recent project was Citadel: Honey Bunny, an espionage series on Prime Video India.
