Mumbai: A New York-bound Air India flight from Mumbai was diverted to Delhi on October 14, 2024, after a bomb threat was reported on the aircraft. The alert  prompted immediate action from authorities. Following security protocols, the flight was diverted to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Upon arrival, all 230 passengers and crew safely disembarked, and security personnel initiated a thorough search of the aircraft. Delhi police confirmed that all necessary safety procedures were being diligently followed, and the aircraft remained stationed at the airport for further investigation. Passengers were being accommodated as Air India worked to minimize disruptions.
