‘Game Changer’ Box Office: Ram Charan’s Film Crosses ₹95 Crore Mark, But Faces Declining Numbers

In a further blow to the film, Game Changer fell victim to piracy, with an HD print leaked online before its official release.

Shankar’s much-anticipated Telugu film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has crossed the ₹95 crore mark at the box office on its fourth day, but its performance has fallen short of expectations. Released on January 10, the film earned ₹6.9 crore net in India on its fourth day, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹95.4 crore.

The film’s opening day was strong, with a ₹51 crore net collection, but the numbers saw a steady decline over the weekend, with ₹21.6 crore on Saturday and ₹15.9 crore on Sunday. While weekday collections often dip, Game Changer had the advantage of a festive release period, but its box office performance has been impacted by stiff competition from other releases such as Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam.

Despite the film’s release during the Sankranthi festive period, it struggled with low occupancy rates. On January 13, the Telugu version of the film recorded just 12.79% occupancy in the morning, rising to 21.60% in the afternoon and 25.07% in the evening shows. The Tamil and Hindi versions performed even worse.

In a further blow to the film, Game Changer fell victim to piracy, with an HD print leaked online before its official release. Producer Dil Raju has filed a complaint with the cyber police against the pirates who allegedly tried to extort money. Despite the mixed reviews, the film’s success in the coming days will depend on its performance during the Sankranthi holidays.
