BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri Stirs Controversy with ‘Deer’ Remark About Delhi CM Atishi

Bidhuri’s latest comments have only added fuel to the fire, intensifying the ongoing political discourse as the city prepares for the crucial elections.

Breaking News

BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri has once again sparked controversy with his latest comment about Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. While campaigning for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, Bidhuri, who is contesting against Atishi from Kalkaji, likened her to a “deer running in the forest” in a disparaging remark aimed at her political activities.

A Remark That Raised Eyebrows

In a statement that drew sharp criticism, Bidhuri said, “The people of Delhi are suffering on the streets… Look at the condition of the streets. For the past four years, Atishi never came to meet the people. But now, when the elections are here, she is roaming the streets of Delhi like a deer running in the forest.”

Bidhuri’s comment, which compares Atishi’s sudden public engagement to a deer’s erratic movement in the wild, has sparked backlash from political opponents and social media users alike.

Previous Controversial Remarks

This is not the first time Bidhuri has faced criticism for his remarks about Atishi. In a separate incident, he controversially referred to Atishi’s name change, saying, “This Marlena became Singh, changed name. Kejriwal swore over his children not to go with the corrupt Congress, and Marlena changed father.” This comment drew condemnation, with many accusing him of making personal and gender-related attacks.

Atishi’s Emotional Response

Atishi responded to the remarks tearfully, defending her family and her father, who had been a teacher throughout his life. “My father is 80 years old and very ill. He has taught thousands of underprivileged children. Will Ramesh Bidhuri stoop so low for the sake of elections? I never imagined that politics could degrade to this level,” she said, visibly upset at the personal nature of the attack.

Election Context

Delhi will vote for its 70-member assembly on February 5, with the counting of votes scheduled for February 8. As the election draws nearer, tensions are rising, and both parties are intensifying their campaigns.

Bidhuri’s latest comments have only added fuel to the fire, intensifying the ongoing political discourse as the city prepares for the crucial elections.
