Arjun Ram Meghwal Condemns Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Fighting the State’ Remark

Union Minister Accuses Congress Leader of Undermining India's Sovereignty

Breaking News

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent statement about “fighting the Indian state,” accusing him of using rhetoric that undermines the nation’s sovereignty. Meghwal emphasized that while political criticism is acceptable, challenging the country’s integrity is unacceptable.

During a visit to Bikaner, Rajasthan, Meghwal remarked, “Rahul Gandhi, as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, can criticize the Prime Minister and the BJP, but criticizing the country is unacceptable. His recent statements mirror the language of those who wish to fracture our nation.”

Gandhi’s comments were made during the inauguration of the Congress’s new headquarters, ‘Indira Bhawan,’ in New Delhi on January 15, 2025. He stated, “We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.”

Meghwal further criticized Congress spokespersons who attempted to defend Gandhi’s remarks, suggesting they misinterpreted his words. He stated, “Congress spokespersons tried to defend him (Rahul Gandhi), but they also misinterpreted his words.”

The controversy has sparked widespread debate on political rhetoric and national sovereignty, with reactions from various political leaders and media outlets across the country.
