Actor Gurucharan Singh, known for his portrayal of Roshan Sodhi in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is on the road to recovery after a recent hospitalization. His father, Hargit Singh, provided an update on Gurucharan’s health, confirming that he is now “out of danger” and recovering at home.
Health Update: Gurucharan Singh Recovering Well
Speaking with News 18, Gurucharan’s father shared that the actor had been in critical condition due to severe weakness, which had left him struggling for some time. However, he is now doing much better, with Hargit Singh expressing relief:
“I’m happy to share that my son is now doing much better. He is out of danger and is recovering at home. Gurucharan has started eating well, and we are providing him with fresh, nutritious meals.”
He also mentioned that Gurucharan has been spending time at the Gurudwara for peace and recovery, a routine he’s committed to during his recovery process.
Gurucharan Returning to Routine
The actor, who had been hospitalized on January 7, has begun taking short walks and is slowly returning to his daily routine. His father emphasized the importance of not overexerting him too soon, adding:
“We are hopeful that with time, rest, and care, he will return to his full form.”
What Led to Gurucharan’s Hospitalization?
Reports suggest that Gurucharan Singh had stopped drinking water for nearly 20 days, which caused him to become severely weak and lose consciousness. This resulted in his hospitalization for medical attention. The actor himself had shared a video on Instagram earlier this month, addressing his health situation.
Brand Deal and Return to Work
Despite his health struggles, Gurucharan is also looking forward to returning to work. Bhakti Soni, a close friend of the actor, revealed that Gurucharan had secured a Rs.13 lakh brand deal, which played a role in his decision to resume eating after an extended period of fasting.
Bhakti shared with Times of India, “After I got him the brand deal, Gurucharan agreed to break his fast. He will be coming to Mumbai by the end of the month to shoot for the same.”
Previous Health Scare
Gurucharan made headlines in 2024 when he went missing in April, only to return to his Delhi home in May. He revealed that he had been facing personal and professional issues, which led him to go on a “spiritual journey” to find peace and clarity.
