North Eastern Railway (NER) has officially opened applications for its 2025 Apprentice recruitment drive, offering 1,104 vacancies across various workshops and units. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Apprentice posts must meet the following eligibility conditions:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed their High School/10th grade with at least 50% aggregate marks and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade as of January 24, 2025.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 15 and 24 years old on January 24, 2025.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list. The merit will be calculated by averaging the marks obtained in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI exam, with equal weightage given to both. Candidates may apply for multiple units or locations if desired.
Training and Stipend
Selected candidates will undergo training according to the syllabus and standards set by the Central Apprenticeship Council. The training will be conducted in line with registration guidelines from RDAT/Kanpur. During the apprenticeship, candidates will receive a stipend at the prescribed rates, as per the existing rules and regulations.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs.100 for all candidates, with exemptions for SC/ST/Divyang (PwBD) and Women candidates. The fee payment must be made through the online mode.
