BJP Leader Mohit Kamboj Denies Involvement in Baba Siddique’s Murder Following Zeeshan’s Statement

BJP leader Mohit Kamboj denies any involvement in the murder of Baba Siddique after Zeeshan Siddique, the son of the deceased, named him in connection with the crime.

Breaking News

BJP leader Mohit Kamboj has strongly denied any involvement in the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, following a claim made by Zeeshan Siddique.

In a statement, Kamboj refuted Zeeshan’s assertion that he had any connection to the crime, accusing him of twisting the facts to sensationalize the issue. Kamboj clarified that Baba Siddique was a close friend of his, and they had known each other for 15 years as residents of Bandra, often discussing both political and non-political matters. The BJP leader also emphasized that his name had not been included in the police charge sheet related to Baba Siddique’s murder.

Kamboj’s Denial and Call for Transparency

Kamboj acknowledged that he had spoken to Baba on the day of his murder (October 12, 2024), which Zeeshan had mentioned. However, he clarified that such conversations were routine, as they spoke two to four times a week. He also expressed his shock at Baba Siddique’s sudden death and confirmed that he had gone to the hospital to offer his support to the grieving family.

The BJP leader urged the authorities to release the facts surrounding the murder and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. He stated, “All those responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder should be given the strictest punishment.”

Zeeshan’s Claims and the Police Investigation

In his police statement, Zeeshan Siddique had named several builders and political figures connected to slum rehabilitation projects in Bandra, suggesting their potential involvement in his father’s murder. However, the Mumbai police charge sheet revealed that Baba Siddique’s murder was carried out by the Anmol Bishnoi gang due to his close ties with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead outside Zeeshan’s office in Khernagar, Bandra East, on October 12, 2024. The 66-year-old politician was followed by three gunmen who attacked him as he walked to his car, despite being accompanied by his police guard and supporters. The murder has shocked the city and led to ongoing investigations into the motive behind the crime.
