Bollywood’s celebrated couple, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, have ventured into film production by establishing their own banner, KAMPA Films. This initiative marks a significant milestone in their careers, reflecting their dedication to storytelling and the cinematic arts.
KAMPA Films: A New Venture in Indian Cinema
The name “KAMPA” symbolizes the couple’s shared passion for cinema and their commitment to bringing compelling narratives to the screen. Rajkummar Rao expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “For Patralekhaa and I, KAMPA is a natural extension of our love for cinema. We’ve always believed in the magic of storytelling, and KAMPA gives us the chance to bring stories we care about to life.”
Upcoming Projects and Collaborations
Their inaugural project under KAMPA Films is an untitled film set to release on Netflix. Directed by Vivek Daschaudhary, known for his work on Guns & Gulaabs, the film features a talented cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Abhishek Banerjee, and Seema Pahwa. The production commenced in December 2024, with a two-month schedule in Mumbai.
Rajkummar Rao’s Upcoming Film ‘Maalik’
In addition to their production endeavors, Rajkummar Rao is set to star in the action thriller Maalik, where he portrays a gangster. Directed by Pulkit, the film is produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips Films in collaboration with Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films.
