New Delhi: The Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 campaign has officially concluded, bringing an end to weeks of intense political battles, rallies, and promises. With voting set to take place on February 5, the three major contenders—Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress—have made their final appeals to voters, each pushing their vision for the national capital.

Incumbent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP have centered their campaign around governance, education, healthcare, and free public services. Kejriwal has urged voters to choose stability and continuity, emphasizing his government’s work in transforming Delhi’s schools, mohalla clinics, and electricity subsidies.

At his final rally, Kejriwal said, “The people of Delhi have seen our work. We have improved education, provided free electricity, and revolutionized healthcare. Now, it is up to you to decide whether you want development or empty promises.”

AAP has framed the election as a contest between governance and divisive politics, taking direct digs at the BJP. Kejriwal has also warned that if AAP loses, the free services provided to Delhiites may be rolled back.

The BJP, out of power in Delhi for 27 years, has run a high-voltage campaign, focusing on nationalistic themes, law and order, and alleged corruption within AAP. The party’s top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, have aggressively campaigned, promising a corruption-free and development-oriented government.

Amit Shah, in his closing address, declared, “AAP has misled the people of Delhi with false promises. The time has come for real governance. Delhi deserves better infrastructure, safety, and a strong leadership that works for everyone.”

The BJP has also highlighted alleged irregularities in the Delhi government’s liquor policy, using it as a key attack point against Kejriwal and his ministers.

Once a dominant force in Delhi, the Congress is fighting for relevance in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 campaign. Led by Delhi unit chief Arvinder Singh Lovely, the party has focused on the achievements of the Sheila Dikshit-led government, which ruled Delhi for 15 years.

Congress leaders have accused both AAP and BJP of failing to address key issues such as unemployment, inflation, and women’s safety. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, in his final campaign speech, stated, “AAP and BJP are two sides of the same coin. Only Congress has a history of real development in Delhi. If you want an inclusive and progressive government, vote for us.”

With the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 campaign coming to an end, all eyes are now on the voters. Opinion polls suggest a tough contest, with AAP seeking a third consecutive term, BJP eyeing a return, and Congress hoping to regain lost ground.

Security has been tightened across Delhi as polling day approaches, with the Election Commission ensuring a free and fair electoral process. The results, set to be declared on February 8, will determine the political future of the capital.

As the dust settles on the campaign, Delhiites must now make their choice. Will they continue with AAP’s governance model, give BJP a chance after nearly three decades, or revive Congress’s legacy? The answer lies in the ballot box.
