New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with his family, cast his vote in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 on Wednesday. Accompanied by his elderly parents, wife Sunita Kejriwal, and son Pulkit Kejriwal, he emphasized the importance of voting for the city’s progress.
Kejriwal, who is contesting from the New Delhi constituency for the fourth consecutive time, urged citizens to vote for “good schools, hospitals, and overall development of Delhi.” He is facing a tough contest against BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit.
Speaking to reporters, Kejriwal shared that his parents, despite health issues, were enthusiastic about voting. “My parents were very excited since morning. They believe in the power of voting,” he said. His wife, Sunita Kejriwal, added, “People are intelligent and will make the right choice. They won’t tolerate hooliganism.”
The AAP, aiming for a third consecutive term in Delhi, has accused the BJP of resorting to “hooliganism” during the campaign. Kejriwal expressed confidence that voters would support “those who work” for the city’s development.
The Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 have seen a high voter turnout, with citizens actively participating to shape the future of the capital. Kejriwal’s appeal for development-focused voting has resonated with many, as the AAP continues to highlight its achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
As the counting day approaches, all eyes are on whether the AAP will secure another term or if the BJP will make a comeback in the national capital.
