Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Monday to participate in the AI Action Summit and engage in bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. Modi’s visit will focus on enhancing India-France relations and collaborating on advancements in artificial intelligence.
Before departing, PM Modi posted on X, “In the coming days, I will be in France and the USA for several important events. In France, I will be attending the AI Action Summit, where India is co-chair. I will also hold discussions with President @EmmanuelMacron to strengthen our bilateral ties, and we will inaugurate a new Consulate in Marseille.”
During his stay in Paris, the Prime Minister will attend a dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace. The event is expected to be attended by a large number of influential figures, including tech CEOs and other notable invitees.
On February 11, PM Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit alongside President Macron, discussing key developments in artificial intelligence and its global impact. The Prime Minister will also have detailed discussions with French leaders and address the India-France CEOs Forum.
As part of his trip, PM Modi will inaugurate the new Indian Consulate General in Marseille, in collaboration with President Macron. The two leaders will also visit the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille on Wednesday to honor the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I.
Following his France visit, PM Modi will travel to the United States on February 12 for a two-day trip. During his visit, he will meet US President Donald Trump, marking their first meeting since President Trump began his second term in office.
Previously, PM Modi visited the USA in June 2017 and hosted President Trump in India for a state visit in February 2020.
