West even teased the launch of a clothing line to support Diddy financially while he remains incarcerated, offering to split the profits 50/50 from a Sean John collaboration the two had discussed before Diddy’s arrest. However, West later amended his statement when he realized that Diddy is prohibited from earning or collecting money while incarcerated. He then clarified that he would send the profits to Diddy’s son, Justin Combs.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing several of Diddy’s alleged victims, swiftly responded to West’s comments. Buzbee, who represents accuser Rodney Jones and other victims of Diddy’s alleged crimes, firmly stated that the authorities should “absolutely not” grant the mogul release. He called West’s public request for intervention “foolhardy,” emphasizing that the severity of the charges against Diddy made such a move inappropriate. Buzbee’s statement underlined the importance of Diddy remaining in custody as he faces these grave allegations.
Tyrone Blackburn, another attorney involved in the case, echoed Buzbee’s sentiments, reiterating that West’s intervention was out of step with the seriousness of the charges Diddy faces. Blackburn is representing several victims, including Jones, a former producer of Diddy’s. The legal team behind Diddy’s alleged victims is adamant that the mogul’s legal situation requires full legal proceedings and due process, not celebrity intervention.
