On February 11, 2025, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) initiated the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations across the state, implementing rigorous security protocols to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. The Class 10 exams are scheduled for the morning session from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM, while the Class 12 exams are set for the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
A total of over 7.84 lakh students have registered for these examinations, with more than 4.33 lakh students appearing for the Class 10 exams across 1,297 centers, and over 3.50 lakh students taking the Class 12 exams at 789 centers statewide.
To maintain the integrity of the examination process, JAC has implemented several security measures. CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination halls to monitor activities and prevent any malpractice. Additionally, invigilators are prohibited from carrying mobile phones during the examinations to minimize distractions and uphold examination standards.
The board examinations are scheduled to conclude on March 3, 2025. Following the written exams, practical examinations for Class 10 are planned from March 4 to March 20, 2025. Schools are responsible for arranging answer sheets for these practical exams, and the heads of institutions have been instructed to collect question papers from the office of the District Education Officer.
In addition to security measures, JAC has established a control room and a helpline number to assist students throughout the examination period. Two officers have been appointed to address any issues or queries that may arise, ensuring that students have the necessary support during this critical time.
The successful commencement of the board examinations under stringent security measures reflects JAC’s commitment to conducting fair and transparent exams. The council’s efforts aim to provide a secure environment for students, allowing them to perform to the best of their abilities.
