After attending her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding in Mumbai, Priyanka Chopra has made her way back to Hyderabad, sparking fresh speculation about her involvement in SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated project, SSMB 29.
Priyanka shared her arrival in Hyderabad through a video posted on Instagram on Sunday, showcasing the city’s international airport. In her Instagram story, she also gave fans a glimpse of herself getting her long wedding nails removed, jokingly writing “bye bye wedding nails,” signaling the end of her wedding celebrations.
The actress had earlier been seen at the Mumbai airport, dressed in a pastel-colored co-ord set, as she headed back to Hyderabad. She smiled and waved at the paparazzi and even stopped for a selfie with a fan, clearly in high spirits. Fans, however, were most curious about her return, speculating if she was back in the city to resume filming for SSMB 29.
Rumors surrounding Priyanka’s involvement in SSMB 29 began circulating after she shared an Instagram reel documenting her travels from Toronto to Hyderabad, with a soundtrack from Rajamouli’s hit film RRR playing in the background. Many fans speculated this was a subtle hint about her role in Rajamouli’s next film, which stars Mahesh Babu.
Further fueling these speculations, Priyanka posted a picture from her visit to the Chilkur Balaji Temple in Telangana after landing in Hyderabad, sharing that a “new chapter” had begun. She wrote, “With the blessings of Shri Balaji a new chapter begins. May we all find peace in our hearts and prosperity and abundance all around us.”
SSMB 29, which has been officially launched with a pooja ceremony, is expected to be an action-adventure film reminiscent of Indiana Jones. While Mahesh Babu’s role has been kept under wraps, there is ongoing speculation that John Abraham might be a part of the cast. As for Priyanka, no official announcement has been made regarding her role, but her return to Hyderabad has certainly kept fans buzzing with excitement.
