In a significant development, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has uncovered assets exceeding 200% of the known income of Deepak Mittal, an executive engineer with the Public Works Department (PWD). The ACB conducted simultaneous raids on Saturday night across multiple locations, including Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Beawar, Jodhpur, and Faridabad (Haryana). The operation is ongoing, with authorities continuing their investigations.

The raids were initiated following a complaint alleging disproportionate assets. The ACB obtained a search warrant from the court to proceed with the operation. During the searches, the ACB discovered property documents and numerous bank accounts, revealing assets totaling approximately Rs 4.02 crore.

This discovery highlights the ongoing efforts by the ACB to combat corruption within the state’s public sector. Similar cases have been reported recently, including the provisional attachment of properties worth over Rs. 1 crore of a PWD chief engineer in Bhopal by the Enforcement Directorate.

The ACB’s actions underscore the importance of transparency and accountability among public servants. The bureau continues to monitor and investigate cases of disproportionate assets to ensure integrity within government departments.
