In a recent interview with Forbes India, Priyanka Chopra revealed her longing to return to Bollywood, expressing nostalgia for the unique aspects of the Hindi film industry. The global star, who has made a significant mark in both Bollywood and Hollywood, shared her thoughts on the contrasting work cultures of the two industries.
Chopra, known for her roles in films like Bajirao Mastani and Mary Kom, highlighted the structured nature of Hollywood, stating, “There’s a lot of paperwork… 100 emails that will come to you before the next day. Timings are very specific.” She emphasized that Hollywood’s organization leaves little room for spontaneity, unlike Bollywood, where she appreciates the more relaxed approach. “In Bollywood, we have a lot more ‘jugaad’ and get stuff done. We’re a little romantic about it, like ‘Arey ho jayega, kar lenge,’” she said.
When asked what she misses most about working in Bollywood, Chopra’s answer was clear: “I miss dancing and singing and speaking in Hindi. I miss slow motion dancing.” This longing suggests a heartfelt connection to her roots in the Hindi film industry.
As for her potential comeback, Chopra mentioned, “I have been assessing a lot of scripts and hoping to lock something in soon.” This statement indicates that she is actively looking for the right project to mark her return to Bollywood. Fans are eager to know when they can expect to see her back on the big screen, but she urged, “Come to me with something right.”
On the professional front, Chopra was last seen in the romantic comedy Love Again alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Upcoming projects include Heads of State, featuring John Cena and Idris Elba, as well as Citadel 2.
With her talent and charisma, Priyanka Chopra’s return to Bollywood is highly anticipated, and fans are hopeful for an announcement soon.
