Ashada Navratri 2025

Ashada Navratri 2025 is a sacred time dedicated to the worship of Shree Maha Varahi mata. As the embodiment of divine feminine energy, she is believed to liberate her devotees from the bonds of earthly desires and negative tendencies. This period allows individuals to transcend their baser instincts and strive towards their higher self, guided by the wisdom of their Guru. Devotees engage in spiritual practices, rituals, and meditation, focusing on inner reflection and personal growth, which are integral to experiencing the transformative power of this sacred time.

This Sadhana centers on understanding the profound nature of Maha Varahi and highlights her significance in the spiritual journey towards Parabhatarikka. As a manifestation of the divine feminine energy, she is intricately linked to Shree Mata Rajrajeshwari VishwaMohini Lalita Tripur Sundari, who is regarded as the source of creation in the universe. The teachings and practices associated with her worship are designed to deepen devotion, enhance spiritual clarity, and foster a connection with the universal consciousness.

Varahi is one of the Saptmatrika

The Ashada Navratri 2025 commences on 26th June and continues until 4th July. Known also as Varahi Navratri or Gupta Navratri, this period is marked by the worship of Varahi, one of the revered “Saptamatruka” (the Seven Divine Mothers). Varahi embodies nurturing and protective energies, imparting strength and resilience to her devotees. Engaging in her upasana, particularly during Varahi Navratri, leads to the dispelling of negative influences and establishes a pathway toward Rajrajeshwari, facilitating overall spiritual advancement and personal empowerment.

Devotees are encouraged to recite the Varahi Gayatri Mantra throughout the period of Varahi Sadhana during Ashada Navratri 2025. The mantra, “Shyamalayei Vidmahe Hala Hastaye Dhimahi Tanno Varahi Prachodayat“, serves as a powerful invocation, calling upon the divine presence of Varahi to illuminate the minds and hearts of practitioners, guiding them on their spiritual path.

The meaning of the Gayatri is: Shyamalayei Vidmahe – She is the dark complexioned, Hala Hastaye Dhimahi – and has a Hala (plough) in her hand,  Tanno Varahi Prachodayat – This very significantly explains the Divine nature of Varahi.

The reference to Varahi’s dark complexion symbolizes her deep connection with the earth and its elemental forces. This dark hue represents the fertile soil that nurtures seeds, allowing them to flourish into robust, fruit-bearing trees. It serves as a reminder of the grounding nature of the divine feminine energy, which provides stability and sustenance in our spiritual pursuits.

Just as the seed holds the potential to develop into a fully grown tree, so does every human being possess the latent potential for greatness and spiritual enlightenment. However, this potential must be cultivated through dedication, discipline, and the right guidance. The process of spiritual growth requires effort, and thus the soil of our inner selves must be prepared and nurtured for the seed of devotion to take root.

The earth must be tended to, plowed, and conditioned to welcome the seed. Varahi plays a crucial role in this process, as she plows through the layers of human conditioning (Sanskar), ensuring that it is ready to receive the seed of Devi bhakti. Once planted, this seed is nurtured further under the guidance of Shree Rajshyamala Matangi Devi, ultimately blossoming into a magnificent tree laden with the fruits of joy, happiness, and liberation, personifying VishwaMohini. Varahi’s balanced representation of the Earthly Element provides the necessary strength and support for our existence.

The VishwaMohini Devasthan conducts regular special poojas of Shri Maha Varahi for grounding, protection,to facilitate studies for students and empower your sadhana during the Ashada Navratri 2025.

Blessed be all….
