Mumbai : Actor Umesh Ghadge, known for his impactful performances in shows like Made in Heaven, Scam, and Breathe, is riding high on the success of his latest role as Raghav Singh Rajput in Star Plus’s hit TV series Advocate Anjali Awasthi (AAA). In a recent interview, Ghadge expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to his character, describing the project as a special one in his career.

Ghadge shared that he was cast as Raghav Singh Rajput while still filming for Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein. The audition process was swift, and he was finalized for the role almost immediately. Reflecting on his now-signature salt-and-pepper look, Ghadge revealed that the decision to stop dyeing his beard during the pandemic played a crucial role in landing this and other prominent roles, such as Radhika Apte’s father in Made in Heaven Season 2.

Currently shooting in Kolkata, Ghadge is relishing his experience on set, praising the Bengali crew and the city’s delectable cuisine. As for his character, Raghav Singh Rajput, Ghadge describes him as ruthless, arrogant, and fiercely competitive—a man who has never lost a case and whose unyielding attitude makes him feared by both his peers and his family. While he is often cast in serious or negative roles, Ghadge expressed his desire to explore lighter, comedic characters in the future, confident that his theater background equips him for a variety of roles.

Advocate Anjali Awasthi has captured the audience’s attention, consistently ranking in the top five TV shows with strong TRP ratings. Ghadge remains grounded amidst the success, emphasizing the importance of learning from both victories and failures. With its unique focus on the life of a lawyer, the show is on its way to becoming a game-changer in the Indian TV industry, and Umesh Ghadge’s portrayal is at the heart of its success.
