Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to energize the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Maharashtra Assembly election campaign with rallies in Dhule and Nashik. As the election date of November 20 approaches, these events mark the first in a series of strategic stops aimed at engaging voters across the state. Today, PM Modi will address citizens, highlighting the coalition’s initiatives and the benefits of a “double-engine government,” which refers to the alignment between the central and state governments to facilitate faster development.
BJP’s Focus on Welfare and Development
During these rallies, PM Modi is expected to emphasize the MahaYuti alliance’s accomplishments, such as the Ladli Behna Yojana, which provides support for women, and relief measures for farmers, including electricity bill waivers. The BJP’s campaign centers around themes of economic growth and social welfare, aiming to win support across both rural and urban areas in Maharashtra.
The Dhule and Nashik rallies are the beginning of a week-long schedule for PM Modi, who will continue his Maharashtra tour until November 14. The BJP has also mobilized other top leaders to support its campaign, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, each of whom is scheduled to address rallies across the state. With over 150 rallies planned in total, BJP leaders aim to create a strong voter connection by underscoring the party’s achievements and future goals.
MVA Alliance Ramps Up Counter Campaign
Meanwhile, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition—comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress—is also actively campaigning across Maharashtra. The MVA has countered the ruling alliance’s narrative by presenting its own vision for the state, focused on social welfare, job creation, and economic equity.
The upcoming election is shaping up to be a closely contested race, with both alliances working hard to gain voter trust and support across Maharashtra’s 288 constituencies. The BJP’s campaign, bolstered by PM Modi’s presence, is set to rally thousands, aiming to secure a renewed mandate for the MahaYuti government.
As PM Modi prepares to address the rallies in Dhule and Nashik, all eyes will be on the Prime Minister’s message and the response from Maharashtra’s voters, setting the tone for an intense final campaign push leading up to election day.
