Indian-American composer Ricky Kej, a two-time Grammy winner, has received another Grammy nomination for his latest work. The 67th Grammy Awards has nominated his new album, Break of Dawn, in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category. The event will take place in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025. Kej, known for his Grammy-winning albums Winds of Samsara (2015) and Divine Tides, which featured collaborations with artists like Wouter Kellerman and Stewart Copeland, continues to make his mark in the music industry.
This year, Kej joins four other Indian-origin artists who have been recognized by the Recording Academy. The talented list includes sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar, vocalist Varijashree Venugopal, singer-songwriter Radhika Vekaria, and the accomplished Chandrika Tandon.
With these nominations, Indian artists continue to expand their global presence at the Grammy Awards. Alongside their achievements, the awards show sees Beyoncé leading the list with a record-breaking 11 nominations.
