75 Saplings to be Proudly Planted on PM Modi’s 75th Birthday by Agriculture Minister

New Delhi: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, extended greetings to the Prime Minister and paid tribute by planting 75 saplings at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Pusa Campus, New Delhi.

Honouring Prime Minister’s Leadership

The Agriculture Minister hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the architect of modern India, emphasizing that his guiding principle has always been continuous action in service to the nation. Shri Chouhan remarked that under PM Modi’s dynamic leadership, India’s global stature has risen significantly, and the world’s perception of the country has undergone a transformative change.



Nationwide Programmes to Celebrate the Occasion

Shri Chouhan highlighted that across the nation, several initiatives were organized to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday. These included:

  • Nationwide blood donation camps

  • Tree plantation drives

  • Cleanliness campaigns

  • Rejuvenation activities in hospitals

He praised these programmes as a true reflection of PM Modi’s philosophy of service, environment protection, and collective participation.

Sapling Plantation Drive at ICAR

Speaking at Pusa Campus, Shri Chouhan underscored that environmental conservation has always been close to Prime Minister Modi’s heart. He recalled that the PM had inspired the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, which motivated millions of citizens to plant trees across the country.

The drive at ICAR was organized with the active participation of the Director General of ICAR, agricultural scientists, and officials. Following the initiative at Pusa, tree plantations will be carried out at all 113 ICAR institutes and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), further scaling up the nationwide green movement.

Spreading the Message Across India by Planting Saplings

Shri Chouhan said efforts will be made to inspire citizens across different states to join the plantation campaign on the occasion of PM’s birthday. The aim is to create a movement that reflects India’s commitment to sustainable growth and environmental responsibility.
