New Delhi: The two-day National Workshop on “IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector,” organized under the National Ayush Mission, concluded on September 19, 2025, at KTDC Waterscapes, Kumarakom, Kerala. The event featured live demonstrations and in-depth discussions on the Ministry of Ayush’s groundbreaking digital platforms, notably the Ayush Grid, which aims to create a unified, citizen-centric, and globally integrated Ayush ecosystem.

Comprehensive Demonstration of Ayush Digital Platforms

Ayush Grid showcased an array of cutting-edge platforms transforming healthcare delivery, education, research, and regulation within the Ayush sector:

  • Ayush Hospital Management Information System (A-HMIS): Facilitates digital healthcare services and efficient patient management.

  • e-Learning Management System (e-LMS): Offers modern educational tools for Ayush students and practitioners.

  • Yoga Portal & Y-Break App: Promotes workplace wellness and healthy living initiatives.

  • NGO and National Ayush Mission (NAM) Portals: Digitizes Central Sector Schemes and facilitates capacity building with state-specific access to annual plans.

  • e-Aushadhi Portal & Ayush Suraksha: Enhances drug regulation, patient safety, and quality assurance.



  • Ayush Research Portal, Clinical Case Repository, and Ayusoft: Strengthen evidence-based research, clinical documentation, and knowledge sharing.

  • NAMASTE Portal: Standardizes practices across states for uniformity.

  • mYoga App (developed with WHO) & Ayush Global Portal: Support international cooperation and global outreach.

  • PM-GatiShakti Ayush Asset Mapping Tool: Improves infrastructure planning and monitoring.
    Additionally, emerging AI-driven platforms were revealed, aimed at predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and real-time patient monitoring within the Ayush digital framework.

Collaborative Knowledge Sharing and Policy Development

Participants from seven States presented their experiences with digital adoption in the Ayush sector, sharing best practices and challenges. The workshop concluded with a consensus-driven group discussion to draft a standard protocol for digital integration, which will be submitted to the Ministry of Ayush for future policy consideration.

Key Addresses and Participation

Smt. Veena George, Kerala’s Minister for Health and Women & Child Development, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the balance between embracing technological progress and preserving traditional values. She stressed the importance of digital tools integrating seamlessly within healthcare systems to enhance monitoring, transparency, and accessibility for citizens.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, underscored the essential nature of digital tool adoption for improving accessibility, affordability, and service quality. He urged all States and Union Territories to align their digital health initiatives with the National Digital Health Mission, stressing the need for interoperable and standardized systems capable of equitable service delivery.

The workshop gathered 91 representatives from 23 States and Union Territories and a total of 155 participants, including senior officials, technical experts, and policymakers. It provided clarity on government IT platforms and fostered inter-state collaboration to establish uniform digital health standards.

Field Visit and Future Outlook

As part of continuing learning, participants will visit Ayush health facilities in Kerala’s Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur districts on September 20–21, 2025. These facilities feature NABH Entry Level Certified and Kayakalp Award-winning institutions, pioneering projects such as Sports Ayurveda, and initiatives like Arogyanouka, Palliative Care, Drishti, and Ayurkarma.
