New Delhi: The Ministry of Ayush organized a press conference in Panaji, Goa, on September 22, 2025, to highlight the significance of the upcoming 10th Ayurveda Day and the various events planned for the occasion at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa. This milestone celebration aims to reaffirm Ayurveda’s role in holistic health, sustainability, and global well-being.

Prof. (Vd.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director of AIIA Goa, emphasized the overarching theme “Ayurveda for People, Ayurveda for Planet,” which highlights the connection between individual health and planetary ecological balance through Ayurveda’s integrative approach. He introduced new healthcare facilities at AIIA Goa, including an Integrated Oncology Unit, Central Sterile Supply Department, Linen Processing Unit, and a Blood Bank, designed to strengthen the bridge between traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and modern medical science.
Prof. Prajapati called upon citizens, researchers, practitioners, students, and policymakers to actively participate in this extensive national campaign, casting Ayurveda as a “people’s movement” grounded in blending ancient knowledge with modern scientific evidence.
Decade-Long Journey and Global Recognition
Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Kadam, Dean of AIIA Goa, reflected on Ayurveda’s decade-long journey marked by equilibrium, wellness, and a growing international footprint. She underscored AIIA Goa’s emergence as a leading center with a 250-bed hospital, 22 OPD services daily, and a robust educational and research environment that attracts patients globally.
AIIA Goa’s Role and National Celebrations
Since its establishment by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, AIIA Goa has been the designated nodal institution for this year’s Ayurveda Day celebrations. The institute has seen remarkable patient care advances and promotes Medical Value Travel and Health Tourism in collaboration with Goa Tourism. The 10th Ayurveda Day is expected to feature diverse activities including awareness drives, scientific presentations, cultural programs, and the launch of strategic MoUs to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations.
