MUMBAI: The final day of campaigning saw political heavyweights engaging in high-energy rallies, with Mumbai turning into a battleground of voter engagement. The Mahayuti Alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, faced off against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which includes the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and Sharad Pawar’s NCP.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led an electrifying bike rally in Mumbadevi, drumming up support for BJP candidate Shaina NC. Covering key areas such as Kamathipura and Mumbai Central, the rally underscored development promises. Meanwhile, Congress candidate Amin Patel countered with his own rally, joined by party stalwarts like Sachin Pilot.

Aaditya Thackeray, a prominent MVA leader, held rallies in Mumbai, including Worli, where his party faces tough BJP and MNS competition. His efforts focused on retaining the Thackeray bastion.

BJP’s Atul Bhatkalkar used a roofless auto-rickshaw for his Kandivali campaign, engaging residents alongside Bhojpuri star and MP Nirahua. The day culminated with a 1,000-bike rally.

Congress leader Aslam Shaikh criticized the Dharavi redevelopment project’s execution, pledging to prioritize displaced residents and address community concerns effectively.
