The National Archives of India inaugurated the exhibition “Sushasan aur Abhilekh 2025” as part of Good Governance Month at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Union Culture & Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat emphasized the crucial role of preserving public records as the foundation for good governance, transparency, and historical continuity.
Digitization and Preservation Milestones
Shri Shekhawat underscored NAI’s achievement in executing one of the world’s largest digitization projects, with over 15 crore pages digitized to date. From 2021 to 2025, more than 75,500 important documents were transferred to NAI, strengthening national record-keeping and ensuring vital information remains accessible for future generations. This digitized exhibition is open to the public on the NAI’s official website.
