AI Tantrik Fraud: Shocking Arrest of 20-Year Old Man Using Technology for Occult Scam

Breaking News

New Delhi – A 20-year-old man from Rajasthan has been arrested in a sophisticated AI tantrik fraud case where he posed as an occultist over social media using artificial intelligence-generated visuals to convince people of his supernatural powers. The accused allegedly cheated more than 50 people across the country through his elaborate digital deception.

The Accused and His Operations

The accused, identified as Rahul, is a resident of Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. He allegedly ran multiple fake social media accounts along with a bogus website under the name ‘AGHORI_JI_RAJASTHAN’. Through this AI tantrik fraud scheme, he projected himself as a spiritual healer capable of solving personal and family problems through occult practices and black magic.

Rahul’s AI tantrik fraud operation was sophisticated and well-planned, utilizing modern technology to create an illusion of authenticity that trapped unsuspecting victims seeking help for their personal problems.

How AI Technology Enabled the Fraud

According to officials, the AI tantrik fraud involved using artificial intelligence tools to create fake images and videos of ghostly figures and fabricated rituals. Deputy Commissioner of Police Devesh Mahla revealed that Rahul would upload these AI-generated images and videos on his social media accounts and website to provide authenticity to his false claims.

The accused promoted his reels on social media platforms through paid advertisements to increase visibility and reach a wider audience. This strategic use of social media marketing made the AI tantrik fraud appear more legitimate to potential victims who came across his content online.

Services Offered Through Fake Accounts

The AI tantrik fraud scheme included offering various services designed to attract emotionally vulnerable individuals. Through his posts, Rahul advertised services including “breakup problem solutions, love marriage, boyfriend control, family dispute resolution,” and other relationship-related assistance.

Police investigations revealed that the AI tantrik fraud specifically targeted individuals who were emotionally vulnerable and seeking help for personal or relationship-related issues. This calculated approach allowed Rahul to exploit people during their most desperate moments.

Manipulation and Fear Tactics

Once victims reached out for help through the AI tantrik fraud platform, Rahul would manipulate them over phone calls. He employed psychological tactics to instill fear, claiming that their houses were haunted or that they were under the influence of black magic.

The AI tantrik fraud methodology involved sending fake AI-generated images of shadowy figures and ghostly apparitions to convince victims of supernatural threats. Once people were sufficiently frightened and convinced, Rahul would demand payment through online transfers via UPI accounts linked to his and his family’s bank accounts.

After receiving the money, the accused would block the victims and delete all chat conversations, leaving them with no recourse to recover their funds. This aspect of the AI tantrik fraud demonstrated premeditation and intent to permanently defraud victims.

Case That Exposed the Scam

The AI tantrik fraud came to light when a complaint was filed at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal by a Delhi-based woman who was allegedly cheated of ₹1.14 lakh by the accused. The woman reported that the online tantrik had claimed to remove evil spirits haunting her home and sent fake images of shadowy figures to frighten her into making payments.

This complaint triggered a detailed investigation that ultimately unraveled the entire AI tantrik fraud operation and led to Rahul’s arrest.

Investigation and Arrest

Investigators traced the money trail to multiple bank accounts linked to Rahul, while the mobile number associated with his social media accounts provided crucial leads. Despite the AI tantrik fraud suspect repeatedly changing his locations to evade arrest, police finally traced him to Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.

On October 9, a raid was conducted and the accused was arrested, bringing an end to the AI tantrik fraud operation that had victimized dozens of people across different states.

Confession and Seizures

During interrogation, Rahul confessed to creating multiple fake social media accounts and operating a fraudulent website to cheat people by exploiting their fears and insecurities. The AI tantrik fraud mastermind admitted to running the scam for several months and targeting over 50 victims across different states.

Police seized three mobile phones, five SIM cards, three debit cards, three cheque books, and access to the fake website used in the AI tantrik fraud operation. The accused has been taken into custody for further investigation.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities are currently examining the fake website and social media accounts associated with the AI tantrik fraud to identify additional victims and determine whether Rahul was working with any accomplices. The investigation aims to provide closure to all affected individuals and prevent similar scams in the future.

Warning for the Public

This AI tantrik fraud case highlights the dangers of sophisticated cyber crimes that exploit both advanced technology and human vulnerability. The incident serves as a stark reminder that individuals should exercise extreme caution when encountering online spiritual healers or tantriks claiming supernatural powers.

Law enforcement agencies advise the public to verify claims through multiple sources, avoid making payments to unknown individuals online, and report suspicious activities to cyber crime portals immediately. The convergence of artificial intelligence with traditional fraud schemes creates new challenges that require increased public awareness and digital literacy to combat effectively.

As technology continues to evolve, criminals find innovative ways to exploit it, making it crucial for potential victims to remain vigilant and skeptical of extraordinary claims made on social media platforms.
