Tamil Nadu – The Tamil Nadu Rain Red Alert has put the state on high alert as heavy rainfall continues to lash several regions. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai issued a red alert for eight districts, warning residents of extremely heavy downpours due to two strengthening low-pressure systems in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
