Scientist Praveen Kumar from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Nagpur confirmed that the Cyclonic Storm Montha over southwest and adjoining areas of West Central and Southeast Bay of Bengal had moved north-northwestwards, expanding its area of influence beyond the immediate Cyclone Montha landfall zone.
