Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and staff of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, marking the commencement of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025. This observance highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to foster integrity, transparency, and accountability across public services while emphasizing ethical governance and preventive vigilance.

Vigilance Awareness Week 2025: Theme and Observance

Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 is being observed nationwide from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 with the theme “सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी” (“Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”). The initiative aims to inspire integrity and collective accountability against corruption within public life. The week’s activities align with the Central Vigilance Commission’s directive focusing on integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in all government departments.​



Emphasis on Institutional Vigilance and Ethical Governance

During the pledge ceremony, Shri Nadda underscored the importance of making vigilance an institutional habit. He advocated for clear guidelines and regular training to empower staff with knowledge, preventing unintentional errors and fostering a pro-vigilance culture. The Minister also spotlighted recent directives for a three-month Preventive Vigilance campaign, prioritizing disposal of complaints, case management, asset oversight, capacity building, and digital governance enhancements.​
