Rahul Gandhi vacated the seat after winning in Rae Bareli earlier this year, allowing Priyanka Gandhi to enter active politics. After taking her oath in Hindi, Priyanka shared her gratitude with Wayanad residents, stating on X, “Your love and trust are my inspiration to build a better future.” Her victory also strengthens the Gandhi family’s representation in Parliament, with Sonia Gandhi in the Rajya Sabha and Rahul Gandhi holding a Lok Sabha seat.
