Narmada, December 5, 2025 — The Sardar@150 Unity March, one of India’s largest youth-driven nation-building campaigns, reached a powerful milestone today with the Sardar Gatha programme in Narmada district. Held as part of the nationwide padyatra commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the event celebrated his unparalleled contribution to India’s unity and federal spirit.

Organised under the theme of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” the Unity March is rekindling Sardar Patel’s timeless messages of national integrity, disciplined citizenship, and collective responsibility.

“India’s Youth Are Strengthening the Unity Sardar Patel Created”: Shri Jayant Chaudhary

Addressing the gathering at Sardar Gatha, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, underscored the pivotal role of India’s youth in advancing Patel’s vision.

He noted:

“Sardar Patel gave India its unity; today, India’s youth are giving strength to that unity. Their participation in this padyatra shows a nation confident in its identity and committed to progress. This journey is not just a tribute to the Iron Man—it is a reaffirmation of our collective resolve to build a stronger, more self-reliant India.”

Shri Chaudhary also offered floral tributes at the Statue of Unity, reaffirming the commitment of India’s leadership to uphold Patel’s ideals of unity, stability, and national strength.


Honouring Local Champions and Taking the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge

During the programme:

  • Local citizens were felicitated for their contributions to community development

  • 1,500+ padyatras completed

  • 15.5 lakh participants engaged

  • Large-scale initiatives including exhibitions, tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and awareness programmes
