BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan recently criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, calling it synonymous with corruption and scandals. Speaking on AAP’s track record, Kesavan claimed that the party, since its rise to power in Delhi and Punjab, has been involved in numerous scams, notably the alleged excise policy scam in Delhi. According to Kesavan, the government has been tainted by corruption, with key AAP leaders facing allegations and legal proceedings related to mismanagement and financial misconduct.
Kesavan’s remarks follow a series of accusations from AAP’s opposition parties, especially concerning the handling of the Delhi excise policy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been investigating the case for over two years, with arrests and raids involving high-profile AAP members, including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Kesavan pointed to these legal challenges as evidence of the party’s involvement in corrupt practices.

In response, AAP leaders have strongly denied the allegations, accusing the BJP of politicizing investigations. The party has maintained that there is no concrete evidence linking its members to the scams, with party spokespersons emphasizing that the legal probes are baseless. This back-and-forth between the two major political forces in Delhi has intensified ahead of the upcoming elections, with both parties positioning themselves as the true champions of integrity and governance.
As the political drama continues, the accusations against AAP remain a hot topic in Indian politics. The BJP’s attacks on AAP’s leadership seem to be gaining traction, but with investigations still ongoing, it remains to be seen how this controversy will unfold.
