Mumbai : Devendra Fadnavis has been unanimously elected as the BJP’s Legislative Party leader.
Chandrakant Dada Patil proposed his name, which was seconded by Sudhir Mungantiwar, Pankaja Munde, and several other leaders.
By this evening, the leaders of the Mahayuti alliance, including Devendra Fadnavis, outgoing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, will stake a claim to form the government under Fadnavis’s leadership.
Fadnavis is set to take the oath as the 31st Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Azad Maidan, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
