AIADMK-BJP Alliance Pushes Back Against Discord Claims
AIADMK-BJP alliance has dismissed reports of internal differences as exaggerated media speculation, with Tamil Nadu BJP leadership asserting that the coalition remains united and focused on its electoral strategy. Senior BJP leader Nainar Nagenthran said that discussions around power-sharing disagreements are being misrepresented and do not reflect the reality within the alliance.

AIADMK-BJP alliance, according to party leaders, is moving forward with a shared objective of presenting a strong alternative to the ruling government in Tamil Nadu. The leadership emphasised that cooperation between parties at both the state and national levels is essential for effective governance and development.
Nagenthran highlighted that the idea of a “double-engine” government is not about dominance but coordination. He said the emphasis is on ensuring that the state administration and the central government work together smoothly for the benefit of people, rather than engaging in constant confrontation.
AIADMK-BJP Alliance Downplays Political Speculation
Addressing speculation surrounding leadership responsibilities within the BJP, Nagenthran clarified that former state president K Annamalai’s temporary inability to oversee campaigns in a few constituencies should not be misunderstood. He said Annamalai remains an important part of the party’s future plans and will actively participate in upcoming campaign activities.
The AIADMK-BJP alliance leadership stated that personal circumstances should not be linked to political instability. According to party sources, campaign planning and organisational work continue uninterrupted, with senior leaders sharing responsibilities.
The alliance also dismissed concerns that new political entrants would weaken its voter base. Nagenthran stated that voters are mature and capable of distinguishing between long-standing political alliances and newly formed parties. He expressed confidence that the alliance’s support base would remain intact.

The AIADMK-BJP alliance leadership criticised the ruling government, claiming that public dissatisfaction is growing due to unmet promises and governance issues. Nagenthran said people feel let down by the administration, particularly in areas related to law and order and delivery of welfare commitments.
According to the alliance, repeated clashes between the state government and the centre have slowed down the implementation of schemes meant for public benefit. Leaders argued that cooperation, rather than conflict, is required to ensure development reaches all sections of society.
The alliance stated that several centrally supported initiatives could have been implemented more effectively if there was better coordination. Instead, political differences have taken priority, affecting the pace of progress.
