Breaking News

A tragic bus accident occurred on Tuesday morning in the Ani sub-division of Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, when a private bus carrying 25 to 30 passengers plunged into a deep gorge. The driver died at the scene, while the passengers were rushed to the hospital for primary treatment.

Kullu’s Deputy Commissioner, Torul S Raveesh, confirmed the details of the accident, stating, “The bus driver died on the spot, and the passengers have been moved to the hospital for medical attention. Our team is on-site.” Further information regarding the incident is awaited.

This accident adds to a growing list of tragic incidents involving buses. Just last month, a similar disaster occurred in Uttarakhand, where 36 people were killed and 27 others injured when an overcrowded bus swerved off a sharp bend and fell 200 meters into a gorge. The bus, packed well beyond its 42-seat capacity, was carrying 63 passengers, including the driver and conductor.

In Mumbai, another devastating bus accident took place in Kurla West, where a BEST bus rammed into pedestrians and vehicles, killing seven people and injuring 42 others. The bus lost control on SG Barve Marg before crashing into 30-40 vehicles and ultimately slamming into the RCC column of the Solomon Building.

Authorities continue to investigate the causes of these tragic incidents.
