Navi Mumbai Police Seize Rs.12 Crore Worth of Drugs, Arrest 16 African Nationals

In a major drug bust worth Rs.12 crore, the Navi Mumbai crime branch arrested 16 African nationals involved in the narcotics trade, officials reported. The operation was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) and the Economic Offenses Branch (EOB) on Thursday night.

Authorities seized a variety of drugs, including 2.45 kg of cocaine valued at Rs.10.22 crore, 633 grams of mephedrone (MD) worth Rs.1.48 crore, and smaller quantities of other substances like charas, ganja, and methylene. The raid spanned 25 locations, where the drugs were discovered.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bhausaheb Dhole confirmed the arrest of the suspects and the drug seizure. Additionally, the police issued notices to around 73 other African nationals whose passports and visas had expired, instructing them to leave the country.
