NEW DELHI: As the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections approach, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ramped up its preparations by forming a 12-member manifesto committee led by South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri. This committee is tasked with drafting a comprehensive vision document that outlines the party’s promises and plans for the national capital.
In a strategic move to ensure the manifesto resonates with the electorate, the BJP has launched the “Meri Delhi Mera Sankalp BJP” campaign.Starting December 5, the party will engage with various sections of society to gather feedback and suggestions.Ramvir Singh Bidhuri emphasized the importance of public participation, stating that a dedicated phone number and the hashtag #bjpsankalp2025 have been introduced to facilitate the collection of ideas through social media platforms.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, drawing parallels with recent electoral successes in other states. He remarked, “The people want a clean, corruption-free Delhi. After Maharashtra and Haryana, the people will elect a BJP government in Delhi too.”
Despite the momentum, the BJP has yet to announce its list of candidates for the upcoming elections. Internal discussions are ongoing, with the party focusing on strategic planning and organizational restructuring to ensure a robust lineup. This delay contrasts with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress, both of which have already named their contenders.
The BJP’s proactive approach, including the formation of the manifesto committee and the solicitation of public input, underscores its commitment to addressing the aspirations of Delhi’s residents. As the election date approaches, the party aims to present a compelling vision that aligns with the needs and expectations of the electorate.
