NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi recently unveiled the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, aimed at empowering women by providing Rs 1,000 as a monthly stipend to eligible beneficiaries. The initiative will target women whose family income does not exceed Rs 3 lakh annually.
Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP National Convener, confirmed that if the AAP government is re-elected, the monthly stipend will be hiked to Rs 2,100. The scheme is part of Delhi’s budget for the Financial Year 2024-25, with Rs 2,000 crore allocated for its successful implementation. Atishi stated that the registration process will begin within the next 7 to 10 days.
Eligibility Criteria for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana
To benefit from this scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Residency: Must be a resident of Delhi as of December 12, 2024.
- Voter Status: Applicant should be a registered voter in Delhi.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Income: Family income should not exceed Rs 3 lakh annually.
Exclusions from the Scheme
The following women are not eligible:
- Beneficiaries of other Delhi government social security schemes like old-age pensions, widow pensions, etc.
- Women who paid income tax in the last financial year.
- Government employees (central, state, or local).
- Former elected officials, including MPs, MLAs, or council members.

Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Aadhaar card
- Voter ID card
- PAN card
- Address proof
- Income certificate
- Bank account details
- Self-declaration affidavit confirming eligibility
Application Process
- Visit the official website of the Delhi government to access the application form.
- Complete the application and attach the necessary supporting documents.
- Submit the form at the nearest government office or designated centers.
- The government will review submitted forms and verify the details to ensure accuracy.
- Eligible applicants will receive notifications upon successful application review.
