A bomb threat targeting Kalyan railway station in Thane district was revealed to be a hoax after an extensive search conducted by security agencies early on Wednesday morning. The threat, which sparked a nearly three-hour investigation, was called in from New Delhi and was received by the Central Police Station in Ulhasnagar around 1 a.m.

The caller claimed that a person had informed him that Kalyan station, located on the Central Railway (CR) route on the outskirts of Mumbai, was about to be “blown up.” In response, security forces immediately sprang into action, conducting a thorough search of the station premises and surrounding areas. The search, which included a team of police and other security personnel, did not uncover anything suspicious or any signs of a bomb.

Despite the initial panic, the operation concluded without incident, and no explosives were found. As a result, normal operations resumed at the station, and services continued as usual. Authorities are now investigating the source of the false threat.

While the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax, it raised serious concerns over the safety protocols in place and the potential impact on the daily commute of passengers. Police officials are working to track down the caller, who disconnected the line after making the alarming claim. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are keen to prevent such incidents in the future.
