Film producer Allu Aravind, father of Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun, has pledged a financial contribution of Rs.2 crores to the family of an eight-year-old boy injured in the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4. The incident occurred during a screening of Pushpa 2 when the actor visited the theatre for its premiere, resulting in the death of the boy’s mother.
Along with Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman Dil Raju, Allu Aravind visited the private hospital where the boy, Sri Teja, is being treated. The veteran producer expressed relief that the child’s condition has improved, as he is now breathing independently and is no longer on a ventilator.
To support the family, a sum of Rs. 2 crores has been arranged, with Rs. 1 crore contributed by Allu Arjun, Rs.50 lakh by the production company Mythri Movie Makers, and Rs.50 lakh by director Sukumar. This financial aid will be provided through Dil Raju, who has been closely involved in the efforts.
While Allu Aravind mentioned he could not directly interact with the family due to legal complications, he confirmed that he had visited the boy 10 days earlier with police permission. The boy’s father, Bhaskar, also shared that his son is showing signs of improvement, although full recovery will take time. The family has already received Rs.10 lakh from Allu Arjun, along with further support from the film’s team and Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
The hospital report confirmed that Sri Teja’s vital signs are stable, though he is still in a recovery phase and not yet fully responsive. The boy continues to receive care, and doctors are optimistic about his recovery.
