In line with this vision, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has designated 2025 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence.” This initiative aims to integrate AI education across over 14,000 institutions, impacting approximately 40 million students nationwide. The objective is to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of propelling India’s AI ambitions.
Industry leaders are also contributing to this momentum. Reliance Industries, for instance, has announced plans to enhance AI adoption across its subsidiaries, including the introduction of ‘Jio Brain,’ a suite of AI tools and platforms. This move underscores the private sector’s role in advancing AI integration within the country.
Collectively, these efforts underscore India’s strategic focus on AI as a catalyst for economic growth and societal development, positioning the nation as a formidable player in the global AI arena.
