Mumbai: Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly issuing death threats to actor Salman Khan and MLA Zeeshan Siddique. The threats, which also involved a ransom demand, were sent to Siddique’s office in Bandra on Friday evening. Following the complaint filed by Siddique’s team, police traced the sender and identified him as Mohammad Tayyab.

Tayyab was transported to the Nirmal Nagar Police Station in Mumbai, where authorities are investigating his motives behind the threatening message. According to police reports, the threats warned of harm to both Siddique and Khan unless money was paid.

This incident follows a recent wave of threats against Salman Khan, including those linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In April, Khan’s Bandra residence was targeted by gunfire, and intelligence reports earlier this year revealed plots against him, prompting enhanced security for the actor.

Another similar case involved a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur, who was arrested for sending a prank ransom message to Mumbai Police demanding ₹5 crore from Khan. Although the sender later apologized, the police pursued the investigation seriously, highlighting the ongoing security risks surrounding Khan.
