Dr. Mandaviya highlighted that the NCS portal has become a bridge connecting millions of job seekers with employers both in India and abroad. Since its inception in 2015, the portal has successfully mobilized over 7.7 crore vacancies. He emphasized that the new partnership with Zomato would further strengthen this mission by expanding employment options for gig workers and linking them to structured earning opportunities.

In the past year alone, it has collaborated with 14 leading organisations, including Amazon, Swiggy, Rapido, Zepto, Apna.co, FoundIT, TeamLease, and Mentor Together, collectively creating more than five lakh job opportunities. She stated that this partnership aligns with the goals of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) and the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, focusing on formalization and comprehensive social security coverage for every worker in the country.

She also noted India’s remarkable progress in social security coverage, which has risen from 19% in 2015 to 64.3% in 2025, reaching over 94 crore people. This achievement was recently recognized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
